The television was once an amazing invention, a novelty. That title has now turned completely as it is the platform to spread hate, violence and depression to a larger part of the world in an instant. In the USA they talk about the growing number of cases of depression and violence. Hello?! Has anyone watched the tv lately? Who wouldn’t get depressed? Images of people getting shot, dead bodies, pornography, corrupt politicians, wide spread diseases and hatred towards various religions is strewn across almost every channel. Talk about poisoning your visual senses and your delicate mind. Where is it going to end? Nothing shocks anyone anymore! Instead of trying to desensitize the situation, it gets worse! TV and Movie executives create a need that was not there in the first place and push out a more gruesome movie every time. At this rate, where is the world going? Where are we going?

Media is biased. Only those newsworthy/publicity-worthy things get publicized. Hence, when we watch TV, read the paper it drives us to despair.
There are millions of stories of people working silently, working positive changes in the world, stories of courage, strenght, love and faithfulness.
Don't lose heart. All is not lost yet.
I second wot Bungi said. We see what is shown to us, we need to realise and explore that there is lot's more happening out there!!!
